Everything about this track is sexy…from the bass drum and simple guitar riff as it opens, to the imagery conjured up by a line like “When you walked around your house wearing my sky blue Lacoste… And your knee socks".
Every song behind, there is an untold story. Knee Socks is about Alex’s (then girlfriend) Alexa, Alex has confirmed that the lyrics are based around heartbreak. The song is fittingly called Knee Socks as Alexa used to wear knee socks back when Alex and her dated. Alex broke up with Johanna in January and he met Alexa in April which hence the lyrics in the song are “you cured my January blues”.
